Testimonial

"For the record, I think that DBXL is an essential tool if you want to create InfoPath browser forms with document level security. DBXL is the only solution I found to implement dynamic permissions within the form.  The Qdabra team was incredibly responsive and knowledgeable.  I would recommend an InfoPath/DBXL solution to my next SharePoint client without hesitation."

“I’m thrilled to work with Qdabra. I was a customer for more than four years and bring that insight, in addition to my marketing and project management experience, to my role. In my free time, I like to hike, camp, and go out to breakfast.”

2009 Highlights

What a year! In addition to weathering the stormy economy – Qdabra actually hired people in 2009 – we made progress on many fronts. Here are a few of the highlights:

  • FormsBoard Beta - on the launch pad! Qdabra finally launches our Internet hosting platform for electronic forms (see below for more details)
  • QRules Rulez. Qdabra’s newest product = our most popular. No server installs. Just inject qRules into your InfoPath template and use rules to do cool stuff that would otherwise require code: turn images into links, filter lists, save forms to lists, copy rich text, insert and delete rows, copy and sort tables, get input parameters, etc.
  • Qdabra Web Services fill more gaps in InfoPath solutions! We sold more licenses last year than all previous years combined. Thanks to all of our new Web Service customers! DBXL, WSSP, and ADWS continue to fill the InfoPath integration gaps with SQL, SharePoint, and Active Directory.
  • Tools, Training, and Twitter - We released 8 new tools, developed a new Master InfoPath Training class and started Tweeting in earnest. InfoPathDev.com saw 3,402 new threads, 3,309 new users, and we replied to 83% of all posts.
FormsBoard Beta

FormsBoard is your InfoPath dashboards in the Internet cloud! Publish your InfoPath forms to the web. FormsBoard gives you an easy-to-use dashboard for your form users.

Qdabra’s Web Service Suite v2.4

Finally, we are setting a deadline to release v2.4 in Q1 of this year. We’ve added a ton of new features. See last quarter’s newsletter for a long list of them. Here are three new updates over the last three months:

  • Simpler side-by-side install. To install v2.4 on a separate machine outside of your SharePoint farm and IPFS, today you have to add code to your form. New, in v2.4 you can do side-by-side installs without code and the hassle of asking an admin to deploy your form
  • Images and file attachments. Native support for converting images and file attachments into links.
  • FormsViewer simple submit. View, edit and submit simple forms from your browser. No InfoPath needed.

Stay tuned to Qdabra.com and our twitter feed for updates.
