 David
David joined Qdabra in June as a web developer. He has a wide range of expertise in web technologies. In his free time he loves to ride horses and motorcycles. David also volunteers as a firefighter/EMT.

DBXL - Qdabra's Database Accelerator Web Services

version 2.3 hot fixes - available now

The following hot fixes have been released for Qdabra's flagship Web Service Suite (DBXL) since April 5th.

·         Hotfix to prevent the “2GB issue” (i.e. Arithmetic overflow on paging size)

·         Hotfix to allow for text characters in RefID

·         Added API ChangeDocumentTypeOfDocument (which moves an individual XML document from one doctype to another)

·         Minor updates to Release Notes, Getting Started and Setup Instructions

Target release is end of summer. Here is a brief summary of the new features:

·         Browser support – view InfoPath forms from your browser

·         Event log notifications – send e-mails to notify administrators

·         Asynchronous submit – submit your forms to SharePoint faster than ever before

·         Versioning – support for side-by-side document type versions and conversion

·         Workflow notifications – send email from server when assigning an InfoPath form)

·         URN solutions – send XSN to users in mail and upload XML replies to SharePoint

·         Images to link XTP – reduce size of XML forms by converting images to http links

Qdabra has developed a new Web site, called FormsBoard. FormsBoard provides a free library of forms for the InfoPath community. In addition, FormsBoard offers private domains and monthly hosting plans for your Internet forms users. No installation is required, but users must have InfoPath installed to edit forms.

qRules version 1.7 - coming soon

We continue our efforts to provide a handy toolbox for InfoPath forms creators. Here are some of the new features in qRules 1.7:

·         CopyTable for SharePoint - copy your SharePoint list to your form's main data source

·         GetInputParameters – pass data to your form on open and get the input parameters

·         IsDirty/SetDirty – prevent Save pop-ups on close by setting document status to “unchanged” if it was already submitted

·         DateDiff – compare two dates and calculate difference
