Team Members

Patrick Halstead

Project Manager and Trainer
InfoPath MVP since 2005

Patrick worked at Microsoft for 11 years and was lead developer on Microsoft InfoPath 2003. He founded Qdabra in September of 2003 with the goal of helping businesses adopt this revolutionary forms technology. At Qdabra, Patrick spends most of his time managing consulting projects and helping customers with product sales.

Jennifer Lindsay

Technical Project Manager

Jennifer Lindsay holds a BS in Mathematics from Harvey Mudd College and a MS in Computer Science from Johns Hopkins University. She has several years of experience as a QA tester and programmer for the US Department of Defense, and most recently she was a systems engineering team lead at The Aerospace Corporation. Jennifer is currently managing several consulting projects for Qdabra, as well as creating InfoPath and SharePoint solutions and contributing to internal development projects.

Hilary Stoupa

Software Development Expert
InfoPath MVP since 2009

Hilary graduated from Whitman College with a bachelor's degree in English Literature. She later found her true passion as a business process analyst for a global manufacturing company, creating custom solutions for internal customers with an emphasis on streamlining and standardization. At Qdabra, Hilary spends most of her time developing InfoPath solutions and keeping customers happy.

James Rishe

Software Development Lead
InfoPath MVP since 2010

Jimmy graduated from Columbia University with a degree in Computer Engineering in 2005. At Qdabra, Jimmy spends most of his time developing Web service and SQL database solutions for InfoPath.

Mel Balsamo

InfoPath Forms and UI Expert

Born and raised in the Philippines, Mel graduated from the Mapua Institute of Technology and holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering. She has been involved in different fields such as web marketing, blogging, research, technical remote assistance, etc. At Qdabra, Mel spends most of her time creating beautiful InfoPath forms for our consulting customers.

Jim Cantwell

SQL and SharePoint Expert

Jim has over twenty years of development experience ranging from custom vertical market applications to shrink-wrapped development tools. During his eleven plus years at Microsoft Jim was a developer on five versions of Visual Basic and the lead developer for the Visual Basic .NET runtime. At Qdabra, Jim spends most of his time developing web service and SharePoint solutions.

Kaoru Okumura

Quality Assurance Expert

Kaoru worked for ten years at Microsoft as a program manager, and many years at IBM Tokyo Research Lab as an advisory researcher. She led natural language related research and products including Japanese search and proofing tools. At Qdabra, Kaoru spends most of her time assuring that our consulting projects and products have the highest software quality.

Ernesto Machado

Product Support and Documentation

Ernesto leads our support & quality assurance team. He holds a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Ohio State University and speaks English, Spanish and Portuguese. At Qdabra, Ernesto spends most of his time helping customers use our many products.

Janice Kutzera

Office Manager

Janice has over 15 years of corporate accounting experience, most recently with Univar, Inc. In addition she spent several years as a part-time tax accountant while raising her children. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration/Finance from the University of Washington. At Qdabra, Janice makes sure our small business runs efficiently.

Jo-Anne Alfafara

Training and Support Engineer

Jo-Anne has over seven years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. Before joining Qdabra, she worked as a QA tester for a multinational company and was involved in using automated tools for functional, regression and compatibility testing. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Systems & Software Engineering. At Qdabra, Jo-Anne spends her time creating InfoPath forms and helping customers use our products.

Alyssa St. Germain

Marketing and Engagement Coordinator

Alyssa graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in strategic communication and an emphasis in marketing. She has a background in sales and marketing and recently joined the team. At Qdabra, Alyssa focuses on marketing campaign efforts, social media and engaging with customers.
